This line will probably rise most of the day, but I'm releasing it 23 hours before game time and I hope you have gotten it before hand.
Jered Weaver will make his start at home against the Twins in what could be two division leaders. Both these teams were in the playoffs last year and both have very promising young starters going in this game. Weaver I believe to be the better one and had a 2.46 ERA last April. This after he struggled in Spring Training with a 5.71 ERA. Ironically he struggled a bit again this spring with a 5.71 ERA, but in his first start a year ago he went 6.2 IP against the REd Sox giving up 4 hits and 0 ER for a win. In his last spring start this year he showed some progression going 5 innings and giving up 1H 0 ER and struck out 9 batters.
Scott Baker on the other hand not so lucky as he had a 9.82 ERA in April. Baker really came on at the end of the year when the Twins were in the run for the division title. He had a 4.50 ERA this spring but his confidence took a major beating against the Rays in his last spring outing going 2.2 IP giving up 12 hits and 8 ER. The Twins are 1-5 in LA when Baker starts in his career as he's given up 22 ER in 33.2 IP. Twins are 2-8 when Baker is an under dog in his last 10.
On the other hand the Angels are 36-15 in Weaver's last 51 home starts while the Twins have also struggled overall in LA not just when Baker pitches going 9-23 in their last 32.
